Board of Directors
Mathias Uhlén, Ph.D.
Chairman
Prof. Uhlén is a co-founder of ProteomEdge AB. He is senior professor at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. He is the Director of the Human Protein Atlas project (www.proteinatlas.org). He was the Founding Director of the national infrastructure Science for Life Lab. Prof. Uhlén is a member of the Board of Directors of Affibody AB, ScandiBio Therapeutics AB, ScandiEdge Therapeutics AB, and Antibodypedia AB.
Marianne Hansson, Ph.D.
Director
Dr. Marianne Hansson is co-founder of ProteomEdge AB and has more than 20 years’ experience from executive positions in life science companies. During 12 years she served as CEO of Atlas Antibodies AB and during the pandemic as CEO of A05 Diagnostics AB. She currently servs as part time CEO of Amylonix AB and Zytox Therapeutics AB. Dr. Hansson is a member of the Board of Directors of Immuneed AB and a member of the HPA Steering Board. She holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
Sophia Hober, Ph.D.
Director
Prof. Hober is a co-founder of ProteomEdge AB and has a long experience in protein engineering, production and characterization. During many years she served in the executive management team of the Human Protein Atlas project, where she also was responsible for the Stockholm site and now she is member of the HPA Steering Board. As Dean of Faculty, she has been part of the executive management team at the Royal Institute of Technology. Hober is Professor at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
Fredrik Edfors, Ph.D.
Director
Assistant professor Fredrik Edfors, a SciLifeLab and Knut and Alice Wallenberg DDLS Fellow at KTH, is at the forefront of precision medicine and is working on advanced methods for quantitative plasma proteomics. He is a docent in biotechnology with a focus on precision medicine and diagnostics. His roles as a board member and former president of the Swedish Proteomics Society (SPS) highlight his commitment to the proteomics research environment. As a co-founder of A05 Diagnostics AB, he established a key contribution to Sweden’s large-scale diagnostic capability during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.
Kalle von Feilitzen, M.Sc.
Director
Kalle von Feilitzen is a co-founder of ProteomEdge AB. He is an expert in bioinformatics and laboratory information management systems and is responsible for IT and bioinformatics in the Human Protein Atlas (www.proteinatlas.org). Kalle von Feilitzen is a member of the Board of Directors of StarIMS AB and Antibodypedia AB.

Henrik Everberg, Ph.D.
CEO
Dr. Henrik Everberg joined ProteomEdge as Chief Executive Officer in August 2025. He brings two decades of experience in the life science sector, with leadership roles at companies including PhaDia, Atlas Antibodies, and most recently as COO of Pixelgen Technologies.
David Kotol, Ph.D.
R&D Manager
Dr. David Kotol is a proteomics enthusiast who dedicated his research to mass spectrometry and protein quantification in blood plasma. He pioneered multiplexed absolute protein quantification in the format that is currently used by ProteomEdge. Post-Ph.D., he co-founded A05 Diagnostics AB, enhancing COVID-19 patient diagnostics through innovative sample processing, and later ProteomEdge AB. His work has significantly contributed to both scientific research and the development of practical proteomics tools.
Kristina Bergström, M.Sc.
Sales & Logistics Manager
Kristina has a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. She was involved in starting up the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project with different key roles within the project. She is a co-founder of Atlas Antibodies AB, where she worked from the very beginning of the company and had different roles over the years, mainly focused on sales and distributor relations. After 17 years she left the company to become a co-founder and starting up ProteomEdge AB.
Gabriella Hober
Production & QC Manager
Gabriella studied civil engineering at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). She later joined Atlas Antibodies AB, where she worked with the development and production of recombinant isotope-labeled standards for mass spectrometry and continued this work within the Human Protein Atlas. Her prior experiences in production and quality assessment of isotope-labeled protein standards have been essential in her role as Production and QC manager and as a co-founder of ProteomEdge.
